Policelot turns 30

Policelot Turns 30!

This year marks a major milestone for us at Policelot, our 30th anniversary.

For three decades, Policelot has been supporting film and television productions with specialist services, helping bring stories to life on screen through authenticity, experience, and attention to detail. From uniforms and props to supporting artists and behind-the-scenes expertise, we’ve been proud to play a small but important part in countless productions over the years.

To celebrate turning 30, we’ll be marking the occasion throughout the year, reflecting on where we started, sharing highlights from our journey so far, and celebrating the people, productions and partnerships that have shaped Policelot along the way.

It’s also a chance to look forward. The industry continues to evolve, and we’re excited about what’s ahead — supporting new projects, working with familiar faces and new teams, and continuing to do what we’ve always done best.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Policelot story over the last 30 years. Here’s to celebrating the past, enjoying the present, and looking ahead to the next chapter.

Believe Me ITV

ITV’s Believe Me Brings a Powerful True Story to Screen

Written by acclaimed screenwriter Jeff Pope, the four-part drama tells the powerful true story of the survivors of serial rapist John Worboys and their fight to hold the police accountable for failures in the original investigation. Rather than focusing on the crimes themselves, the series centres on the extraordinary courage, persistence and determination of the women who refused to give up until their voices were finally heard.

Set against the backdrop of one of Britain’s most high-profile criminal cases, Believe Me explores the long road to justice and the impact institutional failings can have on victims and survivors. The drama shines a light on the legal battle that followed, as survivors challenged the Metropolitan Police over mistakes made during the investigation.

Known for bringing sensitive real-life stories to screen with care and depth, Jeff Pope’s work once again delivers a thoughtful and emotionally powerful drama that places the focus firmly on those who fought for change.

Our thanks go to the Art Department for calling us in and using some of our props as part of bringing this important story to screen.

Believe Me airs on ITV and ITVX from 10th May 2026.

Legends Netflix

Going Undercover in Legends on Netflix

Inspired by real events, the six-part crime thriller follows a team of ordinary Customs officers who are recruited for a top-secret mission to infiltrate Britain’s most dangerous drug gangs. But these aren’t trained spies or career undercover agents, they’re everyday investigators suddenly thrown into a world of false identities, high-risk operations and life-changing consequences.

Created by Neil Forsyth and starring Steve Coogan, Tom Burke and Hayley Squires, the series blends gritty crime drama with the tension and paranoia that comes from living a double life. Set against the backdrop of Britain’s heroin crisis in the early 1990s, Legends has already been praised for its atmosphere, performances and slow-burn suspense.

With smoky pubs, hidden surveillance operations, tense meetings and a heavy dose of 90s nostalgia, the series creates a world where nobody is quite who they claim to be and where one wrong move could bring everything crashing down.

Our thanks go to the Art Department for calling us in and using some of our props as part of helping bring this gripping undercover world to life on screen.

Legends is now streaming on Netflix.

The Good Boy Arrives in Cinemas

We’re pleased to see The Good Boy arrive in UK cinemas on 20 March 2026

Directed by Jan Komasa, the tense thriller stars Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough and Anson Boon and tells the unsettling story of Tommy, a troubled 19-year-old who finds himself abducted and imprisoned by a seemingly ordinary couple determined to “reform” him. What follows is a dark and psychological battle of control, manipulation and survival as Tommy tries to understand his captors’ motives and find a way out.

The film blends elements of crime drama and psychological thriller, unfolding largely within a remote family home where the couple attempt to reshape Tommy’s behaviour through increasingly disturbing methods.

Featuring a strong cast and directed by the acclaimed filmmaker behind Corpus Christi, The Good Boy has already attracted attention for its intense performances and unsettling premise following its premiere on the international festival circuit.

UK Policing Undergoing Major Review: Fewer Forces and a New Model

Recent news in the UK has highlighted significant proposals to reform the structure of policing across England and Wales, including plans that could reduce the number of territorial police forces and modernise how services are delivered.

In late January 2026, the UK Government published a new police reform White Paper titled From Local to National: a New Model for Policing, outlining one of the most extensive reviews of policing structures in decades. The proposals include reviewing the current system of 43 police forces, with a potential reduction and merger of forces over the coming years to create larger regional units. The aim is to reduce fragmentation, streamline back-office functions and reinvest resources toward frontline policing and serious crime units.

At Policelot, we closely follow developments like these to ensure that our props, uniforms and advisory services remain accurate, relevant and screen-ready, reflecting the reality of modern policing as it continues to evolve.

As part of the proposals, a new National Police Service (NPS) — sometimes described in the media as a “British FBI” — would focus on intelligence-led investigations into organised crime, counter-terrorism, fraud and other complex cross-border offences. Local policing functions would be reorganised into local policing areas, aligned with towns, cities and boroughs, to help maintain a strong neighbourhood focus.

Fackham Hall Has Landed — And It’s Utterly Bonkers (In the Best Way)

If ever there was a film made for chaos, confusion, and general upper-class pandemonium, Fackham Hall is it — and we’re delighted to have been part of the fun! The film hit UK cinemas on 12 December 2025, and it’s already stirring belly laughs, bewildered giggles, and whole-hearted appreciation for period drama parody done right.

The story follows lovable pickpocket Eric Noone, who bumbles his way into service at the grand Davenport family estate, only to become tangled in mixed-up romances, murder mystery shenanigans, and more than a few absurd situations that the aristocracy totally fails to take seriously.

With a stellar cast including Thomasin McKenzie, Ben Radcliffe, Damian Lewis, Katherine Waterston and Tom Felton, the film serves up charm, chaos, and more than enough visual gags and tongue-in-cheek humour to keep audiences entertained from start to finish.

Tinsel Town Rings in Christmas with Panto Magic

We were thrilled to support the festive British comedy Tinsel Town, which premiered on 5 December 2025 on Sky Cinema and NOW.

This Christmas caper stars Kiefer Sutherland as Bradley Mack, a once-big Hollywood action star who finds himself not on the West End stage, but deep in the heart of a small English village’s quirky pantomime production of Cinderella, complete with audience call-backs, outrageous costumes, and slapstick chaos galore.

Alongside an all-star ensemble the film celebrates the warmth, silliness, and downright British charm of pantomime — that beloved tradition where everyone shouts “It’s behind you!” and expects the unexpected.

We were delighted to supply some of our supporting artists and props to this festive film, and we’d like to thank the AD Department and Art Department for involving us in the production.
